Hi Spruce ,

Im sure i remember you posting a link to a valve that would divert flow from hot system back to tank a while back ?

I beleive it would divert when pressure reached 65 psi?

do you remember where you saw it?

This should be better  ::)roll

They actually divert at 3 bar plus 20% , so about 55psi .

Have you used one of these mate?
is that the pressure i would need ?

I want it to divert all the water to tank when pole is closed and all to pole when its open?

Cheers mate

The problem you will experience doing this is driving between jobs the water in the hose reel will go cold as there will be no circulation through it , if you can run the water through the reel and have your return to tank feed plugged into that that way the water will be red hot straight away . I had an ionics thermopure system and sold it due to a number if issues , I now have a normal ionics cold system with the grippatank 9 kw two hot pole heat exchangers it works so much better than the ionics set up , I also experienced no end of problems with the ionics systems return to tank pressure valve it kept jamming shut replaced loads of them at about £65 a go I think they were , as per usual ionics didn’t want to know only prepared to sell you a new valve rather than accept it was a warranty issue ,

I saw them on Ebay. I can't see any listed now.

I will try to get a vid of mine working tomorrow,
When my pole is shut off the hot water goes direct from heater back to tank , once I’m reeled in I plug the end of reel hose into the tank , this means that all the time I am not working the hot is going through the reel and back to tank
