« on: May 05, 2019, 03:36:32 pm »
Up doing shops this morning  ,Then get home to a message from custy ,
Hi can i cancel my windows as they are still wet  again and i had to dry  them myself  because they would leave water marks  😄😄
.So message back saying they will be till the dry , She say its okay she will do them herself .
I have been doing them for the last year and never been a problem , She has been in cleaning last couple of weeks .
Some people think they know better than us.   ??? ??? ???

I’ve had that with a couple of older customers. Are you sure she hasn’t got dementia or something?

There's a large estate house I clean, which I've been doing so for quite a number of years.  One time I did so and their cleaner came out to have a moan, as she has to go over the windows with a Squeegee!  Or a dry cloth and she hates it!
I couldn't believe my ears and told her she should leave them alone and they won't dry with any problems but if she insists on trying herself to dry them, then yes they will streak or get blade lines on them.
Apparently she's been doing it for a while, following  around after I've left to clean another section.
It's amazing how people think they know better than the professionals doing the job

Some people do know better. Just not all the time.

I did a second clean for a new French custard on Saturday. When i finished cleaning her windows i knocked at the door and she she said "pure water cleaning wasn't working for her" She said she would let me know if she wanted me to come back. I asked why it wasn't working for her and said she didn't know. She paid me £15 in £1 coins, 50's, 20's, 10's, 5's, 2's & 1 pence pieces. I said "sacrebleu" thanked her cordially and said i'll cross her off my spreadsheet and remove all her personal details from my records.
I won't be going back  - No further contact

I caught a wifie drying off her windows with an old dish cloth in the early days of wfp (just after we started using it), I went ballistic. I was very nervous about the switch over from trad and I'd spent days mulling over the correct wording of a letter explaining the system, our complaints procedure etc etc. She'd not even looked at it.

Doesn't bother me nowadays, I just laugh and get all condescending.

I had the mother of a customer - who I have cleaned their windows for about 10 years - come running out of a house saying "You've only sprayed them with water".

She wasn't happy at all, insinuating that I'm ripping her 'little' boy off.

This is in the street where I live.

I explained to her that if there's any problems, to give me a knock; I just live on the corner.

A few days later I bumped into the customer and he explained that his mum is mental and he had a tough time growing up with her.

Very similar but I lost the customer.  Her parents were in, paid and cancelled for the same reason. The old dear wouldn't listen to sense, or showed me where the windows weren't cleaned properly nor the frames etc.  At this point, as I also cleaned the neighbours house before knocking for payment. (yes cash paying, not GoCardless before that becomes the focus of my post 😂😂) the windows had dried.

So following month, noticed the customers car was in as I cleaned the neighbours and I wanted to know if my actual customer wanted to end my service, as she is normally in when I clean and obviously knew how wfp worked. Lol she was out but the her mum was in and answered door 🙄😏😏
