If it take the wear and tear of being on the van floor then why not

I just by a big roll of rubber matting and cut to size and leave a lip of about 1inch to stop spills going onto the floor  .Just pull out
 and let it dry  ;) ;) ;) got the thick ribbed stuff easier to dry
