One of my customers mentioned something this morning about hoping the Sahara Dust doesn't get on their windows now that i'd just cleaned them.
I just smiled and took their money.....

ive not noticed saraha dust myself......the good thing about cleaning with very hot water is the windows dry within a few mins in warm weather so at least if the dust comes its less likely to settle on droplets of pure water....

its due heavy rain here in a few hours so that should damp down any dust....

The thing with Sahara dust is that it catches the wind easily and can be blown a long way. The reason for this is that it is made up of flat platelets that have little mass and large surface area, relatively. When these plates land on a flat surface like a conny roof they sit on top of one another like tiles on a roof.

If a dust storm is followed by a little rain the plates form up flat against each other and gain cohesion through friction. A little soap helps to get it off before a final rinse.

I don't get out much
if it is dirty it is fair game

I like it.

It happens every couple of years, and when it does I always get a flurry of new customers!
