You lot are getting me paranoid now  :o

I’m talking of my DIY diesel heater here ,  I have taken an idea that is already out there , by no means made it better , but I have made it a hell of a lot  cheaper to own  and run , it’s also way lighter and  more compact  than the others .

The downside of it is that it looks a bit shall we say , uncool  , and it involves a fair bit cutting , welding , pipe bending , which lots don’t want to or can’t do.

But having said the above I have been back to the drawing board and reinvented it somewhat into a heater that can be used  straight from the box  by simply bolting on the heat exchanger and connecting the water .

Should I bother  ?
Do you think there would be interest in it now  ?
All this for in the region of £500 or thereabouts, it is self fit though unless of course you would be willing to travel .

NOTE... not advertising just testing the water !
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

Big difference in developing a product like this to someone screwing 2 bits of plastic together  trying to re invent something and save 50p

Your idea - is a major ( could be ) change/ force in the industry
It’s like comparing fresh juicy apples to mouldy old withered oranges 😁

There is a big difference in what you've done for heating water compared to the total bag of poop that hman posts

Thanks chaps , I feel a bit better now  ;D
What I am trying next may not even work as well as the original idea TBH , it wont take much to find out though as I have the spare heater that I bought in case the first one gave up the ghost , but its been 4 months now running flat out every day with just 2 or 3 non fire ups on initial start up , this is what I need to irradicate as I could not market a product that was not totally reliable could I !

Im getting to the point where I need to look for an easier life , Im not ready for the knackers yard just yet , but I feel I may be of more use on the other side of window cleaning , may even go as far as to say I enjoy it more !

I would still keep my hand in though with the absolute cream of the round and flog the rest , that would be me sorted !

Do you think it would be foolish and a big gamble to sell my work but keep some cream and plough the proceeds into the heater side of things .
Good time of year to sell work but not so good to sell heaters !

Get the heater right, this time next year perhaps. I have an immersion element but would change for a reasonably price reliable system
Good luck

As above - if you can get a system running for around £500 I'd buy one to try out then we would be looking at 4 to 6 more - depends if you can get them to run 2 pumps or not

I wound sell until I know the product is finished/trialled for a few months - this may slow your development due to window work but that's the safest way

I truly think if you can get it off the ground it wouldn't be long before the likes of Gardiner or WCW would take it over on licence
its a winner all the way mate

you may find that gripatank  might come around with the heavies because their sales are gonna plummet!

What's happened to Lee Pryors magic heater?

well, it depends if the dummy has been returned to the pram, and in all fairness he did say towards the end of the year - but I'm all for good reasonably priced water heaters

I still remember his first post on here as I was a regular on the FB groups for window cleaning. His first post was about his FB group lol. I am surprised CIU let him post tbh. All he does is post links to his YT channel :)
