Tested my water today at a flow rate of 90 on the controller and the water was reading 67 degrees,I’ve been getting this kind of reading since I’ve charged the batteries overnight for the last week or so on a regular basis.
I didn’t realise you could crack glass in this kind of weather on PVC units but I did last week,must have been. a defect in that particular pane of glass,watch out Daz it can happen even in hot weather.

Surprised you do not charge your batteries every night as a matter of course. How long have you been using hot water?

Using hot water12 odd years or so now but I’ve only had this 9 kw for 6 months or so,I do 60 odd miles a day on average and have a mains hook up but I’ve been finding I’ve had to charge the batteries more due to them being 18 months old now.
It’s been turning off so I’ve had to Maine charge in to the side of the van every night and since doing this the water has been really really hot even with all hose out of the van.

Even doing 60 miles I would think your heater still takes a lot out of the battery. If it were me I would always charge the batteries overnight if using a diesel heater.

Over the last 2 weeks I can’t believe how much hotter it’s been,it was hot enough before but I was only charging on average once a week.
Changing a brush on a gooseneck has been a challenge not getting my fingers in the way of the water in case I scold them lol,it’s too hot really I couldn’t use it anywhere near like it’s been last 2 weeks in the winter or frosty mornings.

I can’t understand why you need water so hot that it cracks windows, to clean windows 

Are all your customers windows full of egg or sumat as my customers just have general dust , dirt and a few bird $hits

nigel your waters hotter because the weathers warmer!your starting temperature in your tank before heating will be higher.....

i always charge my batteries up every night,i only do around 10-15 miles a day though,i also have my van running at lunchtime to top up the batteries a bit for the afternoons work....

hot water systems are great in the warmer months,esp for the sticky pollen,baked on birdmuck,insect spots(little yellow spots) that seem to cover some windows(i clean a lot of windows in the leafy suburbs and some semi rural jobs surrounded by farmers fields)......

my waters around 50-60c at brush end which is plenty hot enough...

No Daz the heater is physically working better now I am having to fully charge every night,I’ll be replacing the batteries soon so I don’t have to plug in all the time.

You should be charging every night anyway with the load you are pulling off the batteries, that’s the key for long battery life !

Mine is scorching even on minimum after an hour or so.

I’m setting up a flow bypass valve though so I don’t have to run two pumps to keep the heater from shutting down. That should help me control the temp a bit more.

you must of knackered the batteries yourself then by discharging them too deeply, too often....mine are fine and are older than yours(fitted by grippa back in dec 2017)....im sure you had your batteries fitted after mine....

just run one pump then jonny.......then you wont constantly have hot water diverting back to your tank all day unless your driving between jobs.....or just turn your heater off at lunchtime....

your heater wont shut down in between jobs if your quick.....mine very rarely does....

I had to turn mine off today even on minimum it was far to hot,I ran it when I was parked up on minimum got to another old glass job and it’s was still far too hot to clean older glass they were creaking.
I turned the heater off ran through the system cold for 5 minutes before I started work again lol,the weather is warmer I agree and my other 5kw heater was always hotter this time of year but the 9kw is proper hot lol lovely.
They work far far better with healthy batteries like you say Daz I probably have killed them off by now but when I replace them I’ll make sure I keep them topped up,still great of having the option of really hot water I did a weatherboard clean last week with very little scrubbing needed,next to no effort to clean off very stubborn dirt.
As for the 5kw I wouldn’t go for 1 of them again the 9kw is very hot but it’s much better have the hotter option if needed.

You can turn em down but I think when you’ve had it flat out in the warmer weather it takes a long time for it to cool down,honestly today the water was scolding hot almost to hot for a tea bag lol.
It would kill a softish brush in no time or at least reshape it.

you can on mine....if i turn the mixer valve right down on the side of the heater i get luke warm water at brush end if i want but i run mine on full blast every day as i like to have very hot water at brush end in the warmer months,this is where the real cleaning benefit kicks in....

in the cold winter months i still run it on full heat setting as heat is lost from the hose esp on cold/frozen ground with all 100m off the reel so i still end up with warm water at brush end....

I reckon Oliver’s popped a 5kw Heater in you’re cabinet m8 lol,I have been just as wary as if it was minus temperatures with the water from my heater.
I thought the needle in my valve was broken earlier when I turned it down coz it was still piping hot,I turned both exchangers down to minimum made very little difference if any.
