We Buy Any Van
« on: April 19, 2019, 05:54:46 pm »
Just sold my van to we buy any van, was happy with the valuation I got 5 days ago, so went down today with a figure in mind thinking they would try n knock some money off for a tiny dent in the back door, guy looked round the van and said it was in superb condition and said even with that tiny dent he would give me the full valuation price for the van....It was over a grand more than what I was gonna get trading it in.......happy days😁

i got £3k for an 11 year old GTI with over 100,000 miles on the clock, the engine management light kept coming on and the engine kept making some strange sounds.....anyway took it down to "we buy any car.com" THEY NEVER EVEN STARTED IT UP!they just paid me by BACS a few days later....

the underside of the car was badly rusted and corroded,my mechanic reckoned it had been in a flood prior to me buying it and advised me to get rid of it... ;D

saves getting the tyre kickers wasting your time.....its effortless...
price higher/work harder!

Likewise.
It's a game of three halves!

I sold my last van to them

Not something I'd normally do but it had outstanding finance and they sorted everything and took the thing off my hands in 5 mins.

Not the best way to sell a van but if you want rid quick it's ideal

I was going to sell it to a local trader and had agreed a price of £11 750, but there was a delay of about 3 weeks  on my new van arriving so when I told the guy I was initially selling it to of the delay he said he couldn’t give me the price we agreed anymore. That’s when I tried WeBuyAnyVan, ended up getting £12 500 for it......thank fook the guy said he couldn’t give me the 11 750 for it😂😂

I agree, their valuations fluctuate a lot. When I first entered my van details about 3 months ago to get a valuation it was £13 100, at that point I was just wanting a ball park figure of what my van was potentially worth, roll on 6 weeks and when I entered the details the valuation came back at £12 050, that’s a big depreciation in 6 weeks for a 4 year old van, so I though sod them! Anyway numerous emails later it came back with £12 575 and as previously stated I fully expected them to try to knock the price down by finding scratches invisible to the naked eye. Much to my surprise they were happy to stand the price without any deductions.
Just to add I have also seen the other side,  when they tried to drop the quoted  price by £300 for a scratch on the roof and £100 for a plastic wheel trim on my Fiat Doblo😲

They valued a Ford Capri from our forum, an '86 280 with fairly low  miles, at £150.
Admittedly it's not really their area,
Capri was sold privately soon after for £10,000.
Be aware.

I am amazed as I have been involved with we buy any car and van on a couple of occasions and every time they have tried kicking me or my friends for things that just amount to small age related problems.  I wouldn’t touch  them with a barge pole but I am pleased it has worked out for a couple of you.
