As above. I have already been cleaning these for a couple of years on a job. But, I've never been particularly happy with how long they take me or the streaks especially difficult when sunny as South facing. I use a pole and applicator and then squeegee. They are approx 20 ft high above bi folds with sills mabe 8 "s deep. Is there a better way.?  I'm thinking wagtail or an internal microfiber cleaning pad.... any recommendations.?

How bad are they now ?

we use  Unger pads followed by 'fish scale' type microfibres on either a trad pole or SLX - generally this works well once the main grime has been taken off ( ie. first clean ) - so if this is something like a general clean every six months it will be fine - also try using white vinegar on the pad - it works really well
once done 2 or 3 times just the microfibre cloth will be enough

Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience

Thanks for the link smudger. They're not so bad for custy to complain, he's realises they are a ball ache but they often begin to dry before I get the squeegee to them and always streak, given the height, angles and depth of sills. It's more my piece of mind and patience. I'll give those pads a go. Cheers 👍

you just need to improve your washing technique, make sure you get a nice consistent  soak done with a clean new applicator, maybe use two poles save time on change overs.  You cant beat pole work its your favorite choice, save time and money buy another pole, they  get lost you wont regret having two, its all about consistency, plenty of fresh bubbles, and not too many for working on skylights you  got to half dry a window with a rag save dripping, always get your consistency of fairy bubbles right

Thank you Seamus, I take on board what you're saying but I do plenty of inside trad work so technique is not lacking. Only maybe with a pole at height. But for the occasional maintenance clean as I've described above, I'm prepared to give the micro fiber pads a go.

Have you tried using a clean, dry microfibre cloth or scrim draped over a squeegee after soaping up the glass? I do this on inside velux windows and get a good finish as well as no water dripping.

John
Being diplomatic is being able to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.

Thanks John, I already sometimes do this with windows that leach and drip from the top frames. The main issue is just the size/shape/height of these windows. with the sun beating down on them inside they just dry so quick. I snapped my trad pole last Friday and need to order a new one hence the post , I may as well add some microfiber pads etc. to the order and give them a go.
