So this was posted on another forum and it was a discusion on pricing.  The chap asked how much others would charge for washing the white cladding on that facing which ends just a fraction past the last window on the picture.

Personnally i was suprised with how low the prices were coming in at. This is in south yorkshire, but still!

Curious to see other peoples prices and a clean of the windows afterwards.

The chap quoted £200
 (which he is perfectly happy to do so and thats fine.)

I think it depends what the cladding is made of, you could turn up and that job be an easy 2 hours or it could be a six hour scrub .

Yeah, if it's not too dirty £200 sounds OK. I did one of my window cleaning customers which looks like about  this but was front and back - but looked similar surface area - so I had to run hoses round the back. I went down on a Saturday so no cars about and it took me 2 and one half hours.

But like Michael Peterson says, you can't be certain until you look more closely.

anyway, you have  not mentioned how they are going to clean it - if you apply hypo via pressure washer the whole job will be done in under 20 minutes

( im not stating this is the correct method but hey, thats never stopped some on here )

This is exactly what I was thinking.

That would take no time at all to softwash. Windows 15 mins. £200 for a single operator for a couple of hours total work is good money.

If he’s wfp’ing it, then that’s a different story.

I’d quote £220-£250 for a softwash here in Essex. (Depending on how dirty it is)  It’d be done in time for lunch. Good money for a mornings work. Take off £30 for the hypo and you’ve got your £200 odd before ya ham sandwich.

From what can be seen, level of dirt, Id be looking at £225 i imagine, expecting to do it WFP. Wouldnt be sure about hypo on it as unsure of resulting consequences on plastic.

WFP I wouldnt expect the whole job to take more than 2.5 hours. Id probably TFR it and hot water scrub.

Well I suppose that shows me as I was thinking that 200 was too cheap for business front cleaning, but you lot seem to be in agreement for once.  Are you all feeling Ok

When NK first started posting on here he got a lot of flak because of his low (on CIU scale) prices and relaxed customer attitude, its funny to watch him try and turn that reputation around and sad that he thinks he needs to.

The chap in question doesnt have the set up, hence a couple of posts above yours, i said he is using wfp and TFR.

Erm.....i know its just mickie taking but I am doing a house front render for more than this charge and suprisingly opting for soft washing.
No not steam cleaning as I dont have the equipment for that option yet. Perhaps a future investment tho.

Sean,     im not trying to convince anyone on here, however I have naturally changed with progression and realisation, which in turn has helped my business grow more so than in previous years.  I have also accredited this forum  in some of that realisation..........even you sean  have had a place in that, so thank you.

My point exactly, the guys who belittled Nathans methods and prices have lead him to play the role of something he's not,
its just a pity that instead of trying to compete with their BS he couldnt see it for what it is.

You cant really assess it properly without seeing it up close. Could take an hour or could take 4.

Personally i would factor in a mornings work 2-3 hours and add a bit for the hassle of it being commercial, so maybe £150 and i would probably sack the rest of the day off 

£100  wouldnt kill you if you needed the work and i can see why you  might price it at £200+ if you are down south or fancied rolling the dice.
