Very rarely do insides, but got a big house tomorrow in and out.
Which do you do first? Insides? While the outsides are dry? Or outsides first.

Insides first for me, means the customer can’t see what they come up like while I beat a hasty retreat after doing the outsides. The pure water drying time gives me time to leg it.

On a serious note, doesn’t really matter, but whatever is dirtiest, do them first.

if its a one off and they pay cash im of a similar mindset, grab it and run. If they are paying online probably best to do outsides first that way you can see if youve missed owt when doing inside.

That said, i only did one inside clean last year and i feckin hated it, avoid insides like the plague.

I used to do insides first.....get it out of the way as customers need to be home before tackling the outsides.....

I never do insides anymore once I lost my last inside job a few years ago......I wouldn't take her back on again if she phoned me up again....not interested....

Same mate, if they pay on the day, that’s how I do it. If online, then I’m thinking outside first.

Outsides first, move inside then you can see if any of the exterior windows need re-cleaning. Charge accordingly and you won't need to bodge it.

If I'm working on my own on smaller jobs outside first then put wfp gear away have a coffee then do insides. If it's a larger job like a school one starts inside the same time as outsides are being cleaned whoever is wfp outside will be finished first, they put wfp gear away then give a hand to complete the inside. The insides will be cleaned by doing any trad pole work first then work from the farthest rooms towards the entrance and all finished at the same time and leave.

March outs are the worst for me, have to do not only in and out but steam clean all the reveals as well.
Always try to just get an outside clean and tell them its cheaper for them to do the reveals and insides.

As Phil says charge accordingly got one booked in for April £100 outside £300 for outside and inside if they don't want to pay for the extra time etc I wouldn't bother coz they can be a bit of a ballache

If its a glass and frame/opener clean then do the insides first, this way you wont have to worry about dirty water hitting or running down the outside glass.

If u hate them as much as me just say you don't clean insides anymore.....otherwise they'll ask u again in 6 months time or whatever.....

I stand firm and say no....then i never have to do a job I hate again....less hassle/arranging=happier working day for me...

I do quite a lot of inside windows. Being 100% trad means little difference in terms of technique, so it's the same as doing an extra house when I get them. When I do, it's outsides first.

For me, it depends on the day. If its wet and cold then sure, i would love to clean the insides.  If they are a good customer, again I wouldnt have a problem. However if its a so/so customer and I know they wont clear the window sill etc before i get to each room then im leaning more to saying no.

If its a good customer and i have a rapport with them, then i would let them know the price which also includes a brew as well.

Normally I would clean the outsides first.

  I clean quite a few inside residential house's a month, in my experience the outsides are generally worse dirt wise,
  So i always clean the outsides first WFP thoroughly, that way it makes doing the insides easier, if you've done the
  outsides properly, anything left you can see most of the time will be on the inside if that makes any sense.

I don’t do a huge amount of insides but if I do I’ll normally do outside first to look at the quality so if I have to go back I know where I need to go,if you don’t  offer insides you’re only half a WCleaner.
Some of my best payers are inside and outers.

I despise insides, they are horrible.

I sweat like a pig, partly because it's usually hot but also because im a nervous wreck dripping water everywhere, trying not to break stuff etc. Not to mention customers eyes burning into to the back of your head. It's horrible, I can't wait to get out, it's claustrophobic and feel like I'm going to have a panic attack lol.

I did one last year begrudgingly and I soon wished I hadn't.

I only once did insides in a commercial job and that was horrible too. Had to sign in and do all health and safety stuff. Then clean windows in offices full of people working dripping water all over there paper work etc. I had to wait till meeting had finished etc in various rooms. I did it once and never went back.

Residential outside only is all I'm interested in. I wouldn't say never but it would have to be an extremely good rate to get me to do insides again.
