I finally got round to installing my PowerUp HD that I've had for over six months. I have fitted 100m of 8mm HiViz hose from Pure Freedom. My question is am I asking too much from the reel to expect it to wind in a full 100m of hose? I only ask because it really struggles to wind the hose in. I have to fit the manual handle and start it off. Once there is around 10 metres on the reel the rest winds in with the 12v motor. Is this normal?
Hi,I think it's just the sheer weight of the hose when full of water. When I pull it up the road it feels heavy. The first 10 meters I think would be the most difficult due to the smaller diameter of the drum? I think? :-)
