I’m looking into buying my first WFP, was thinking I could use this thread for any recommendations or advice on some that I’ve found.
If you have any links to poles you recommend that’s great.

looks like when enclosed it shuts very small and neat, anodised aluminium, hose inside, 20ft, 25ft or 30ft are the options.

Gardiners are good poles : if you can afford it gofor an slx which is 100% carbon they are light, reasonably stiff and last well .
If you are on a tight budget look at the clx they are a hybrid pole , that means a mixture of fibreglass and carbon , they are slightly heavier and a bit more Wippy  but still a very good pole and cheaper than full carbon

In which case go for the slx 25.   The smaller ones won't reach third level windows or over larger extentions and conservatory

As you are trying to stay in this budget I see the only safe option as a CLX 27 from Gardiner and the backpack from Gardiner , it will still put you over budget but it will work and you will reach , certain townhouses need a 27 footer due to dormer windows , an extension hose of maybe 10 metre would be good to couple the 2 items .
Of course an SLX 27 would be far better in the long run as it would save you an upgrade in the future if it all takes off ,
I myself use an SLX 18 for 90% of my work and add on the bottom 2 sections of a CLX 27 as and when needed.

Also lads when ordering there’s all these options of selecting gooseneck, brush, jets, hose and hose connecter type... I’m gonna be honest I ain’t got a clue what’s the best selections I need to make...

That’s good that I can add to the pole if needed, I’m leaning towards the clx 22 so far, if I ordered that and gardiner backpack is that all I would need? I know you mentioned an extension hose?

It's down to your own preference and cleaning method.

There is a brush guide on the site to compare them all.  As your using cold water opt for either soft of med bristles.

The standard yellow hose will be fine for a cold water user.   

A plastic gooseneck will be fine either swival or not.    I prefer swival as you can ealisly change the angle of the brush against the pole while working.

Clx 22 is a good shout.  But if you can stretch to it try to get a short pole as well. Short poles are the mutts nuts. My clx  14 turned up tens of thousands before I had to replace the base section and a jet.

If it were me I would get .......

Pole with standard goose neck and medium mix ultimate brush and rectus 21 male fitting .
Backpack with female rectus 21 fitting .
10 metre of reinforced pole hose with male rectus 21 on one end and female rectus 21 on the other end .

That would sort you out , just add water .
Jets in brush is a personal thing , myself I would go for red fans over pencils as you need to be saving water , maybe order as an extra the pencils just in case you dont get on with the fans .

It might be as well to phone them and get a call back arranged with the list of bits to make sure you get what you want with minimum risk of a mishap online !

Just a thought here , but instead of having the female fitting on the backpack and the male fitting on the pole you might want to swap those fittings when you order as every time you disconnect the pole with my original list would mean all the water in the pole hose  would go to waste .
Every little helps when water is short !
The extension hose can stay as it is though .
