So here we go for this year.

200k leaflets booked. We will be doing 1.5 million this year our biggest ever.

Using royal mail we will be doing 200-300k per month going out in the first week of each month only.

For those that are interested this drop cost £15k royal mail (inc VAT) and £4260 to print (no VAT).  A3 double folded.

I will also mention that my printers have NEVER been beaten on price, in fact not even close.  There are Printmates in Redhill Surrey,01737 773755 ask for Neil or Mark. They also have in house design studio.  Advantage with them is they also do the part you wont want to with royal mail such as, box labeling and weight, getting them to distribution centre ect.

Even if you give royal mail 2 or 3 weeks to get them out theres no way to know when they actually do them. They could do all 200k on a single day. So At least I know when it will be done by, Also we can cope in the office

I am always happy with 0.2% return or above. So 2 customers per 1000 leaflets. After that we are happy if we retain 50% of that past the 12 month period. So in other words we would like to retain 1500 customers this year. We will spend around 120k and if we do retain 1500 that will increase our turnover by £226,500.00 for the year. We hope to top up our existing 10 vans with this and add another 2 this year. The same plan will follow next year but increasing to 2 million and adding 3 vans and then I will try to increase to 2.5/3 million in the following year and add 5 vans, getting us to 20 that year. This is the ultimate goal for us and then year on year we will deliver 1 million just to maintain.

It takes a very motivated person to do what lee does I agree. But I think seeing him drive so far helps us also improve.!
On that note a lot of people would be happy with 3 4 vans. and have a very good life Lee basically pays himself the minimum until he reaches a very very High goal keeps reinvesting and reinvesting.!

Hard to say. I really do enjoy it. I like the challenge as I get bored easily. It gives me something to do. My other half also spurs me on, I want us to have a certain lifestyle. I have a few friends in business that inspire me to do more.

 We will add a few more areas but we are just about done with that. We cant really go much further. Some areas are a 60 mile drive away! I find you can get a reasonable result by hitting the same areas each year.

That is some  distance you cover mate, thanks for the info as I was wondering  if repeat leaflet drops in the same area each  year would work as I only started leafleting  autumn  last year after being fed up with unreliable canvassers
I’m looking to expand into new areas this year with leafleting this year
