Water panic today
« on: March 01, 2019, 06:51:32 pm »
So the first van arrived back today at 2pm. Filled up then drove home. The water kicks in as he’s filling and after 15 minutes I hear it stop. I think Jack’s not used much water today and go downstairs to investigate. The water’s stopped.

So I switch everything on and off. Climb onto an IBC to check the solonoid. Disconnect pipes from pump and solonoid, turn water on and off. Then I panic. I phone my mate Cliff Perkins (used to come on here). We change the fuses and try to work out what’s happened and then the pump suddenly kicks in. Altogether about an hour later.

I sit on my desk and the first email is from the estate saying the water had been off because of a burst pipe.  ;D

I never thought to check the taps.

That’s like me getting all in a panic because my coffee machine won’t work in the morning... just to realise the cleaner has turned it off at the wall!

Disaster averted.

First world problems.
You've got a coffee machine and a cleaner?
I hope you got the butler to 'let her go'.

Tongue in cheek Mr. Griff. Anyway the butler got sacked for arguing with the chef.
