Pure water in central heating system?
« on: February 27, 2019, 12:43:39 pm »
Anyone filled there central heating system with pure water to help prevent sludge?

Just thought of it as we are having some new rads fitted soon, may ask to use the pure water to refill the system. Not sure if it’s a good idea or not.

No point , it won’t be pure once the plumber puts inhibitors in , as he should 😁

Yeah the plumber will put inhibitors in, but wasn’t sure if it would help reduce sludge...

Most people use fernox or similar to prevent rust build up in a central heating system

My pet plumber charged £400.00 too.
It's a game of three halves!

I don't know about pure but why not just put hot water into your system and save on your gas bill.

Why not, I’ve got spot lights rigged up  to shine on my solar panels at night.

;D
Or just use resin to clean the windows and save on water. Lighter, too.
What about hot resin? That'd be a game changer.
