fao Daqua 450 RO to 4040 RO ?
« on: February 26, 2019, 01:23:32 pm »
Advice on moving up to get more pure water,       after many discussions ive done all the tests on my tap water  and now volume of water  via litres per minute    and psi     to see if I can move onto the next stage of moving from 450 RO  to 4040
water pressure =  23 psi  / 1.5 bar
water volume    = 12 litres per minute
Which will be the best 4040  + booster pump
i know a booster pump will be needed   i just need to know  i can get away with  upgrading to the next level to keep up with the high demand for my services,

Buy a 4040 and you’ll never need to upgrade again

Get the HF5 membrane it’ll make water quicker with very low pressure,I only get 35-40 PSI out of tap but it will half fill a 1000ltr tank in 5-6 hours with clean pre filters.

https://www.daqua.co.uk/ro_systems.htm

I bought this one a few years ago from Doug. (HF5)
I bought a booster pump from (I think)  Smudgers recommendation and it’s still goinh strong so hopefully he’ll let you know where it was from as I cant remember!!

It doesn’t matter whether you get a HF4 (high pressure) or HF5 (low pressure) if you’re getting a booster pump as you can adjust the pump to ensure you get adequate pressure.
I’d personally get 20” prefilters if I was to buy it again as they’ll need less frequent changing.

Apart from that though, the one I’ve linked above is pretty much plug it in and off you pop amd I reckon I get around 100-150 litres an hour depending on if its summer or winter.
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

I got mine from Anglian pumping services

This style
https://www.anglianpumping.com/product/water-boosting-pumps/jetinox-102m-230v

But ring them there’s now far more choice of makes and they will advise on your application and current water pressure

smudger   that's a big  difference in pump price,     from £300       to   £220   will the one you highlighted  be sufficient for the  HF5 4040 ro

Yes mine is a 102 - but all cast - they didn’t do the stainless back then 😩

My water is 330 in and 003 out and I get approx 120 ltrs. Of pure an hour if I open it up to 180 ltrs I get 007

my system is an old pure freedom set up - the waste gate  valve has a hole drilled in it so when you close the valve this then balances out the waste and pure - if I use a valve with a different size hole I can get faster production but the TDS is higher - likewise I could get better TDS but slower production

the other way is dependant on how much you close off the waste valve
