FAO Alex Gardiner ......or......
« on: February 23, 2019, 05:55:25 pm »
Anybody that might know what this brush is ???
It was bought a fair while ago as an Ultimate stiff , upon looking on the site I can’t match it to anything !!
It has Superlight written on the stock , but it does not seem to splay like the current range of ultimates.
Yet the Ultimate stiff on the site looks more like a Superlite stiff to me !
Any help appreciated, maybe it’s a prototype sent in error ???
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

If that brush was your missus you'd have the vet round to shoot her wouldn't you?

That is an Ultimate Stiff - the early version.

The new version https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/water-fed-poles/brushes/ultimate-brushes/the-supreme-medium-brush-2133.html is all in red (stock & bristles) and looks slighty fresher than yours!!

Has it changed at all Alex ?
It looks like the bristles are longer and splay a little more  ?
It has lasted very well though 🤣

I thought the supreme was a different shape to that.

The bristles are the same original length, splay and density as your was when new.

The new formulation red bristles are slightly tougher and longer lasting though.

The Supreme is a different size and shape to the Ultimate brush. It has a smaller rounded-end stock with much wider splaying bristles:

I see on the website the DuPont newish brush is only good with water under 30 degrees do you do that brush that’s suitable with hot Alex.

The Dupont version of the brushes are generally slightly softer so we recommend sticking to under 30°C  - most of our brush versions have a stiffer version which can be used with warmer water - https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/stiff-brushes.html

Now I’m using hot water, I can really recommend the supreme stiff brush from Gardiners.

With hot water it seems to be the perfect combo.

ultimate stiff rich...i think their the best hard wearing lightweight brush for hot water.they are still knackered after 3 or 4 months though,my xtreme brushes are ready for the bin within 3 months if not earlier....how the hell do you get them to last so long?you must just tickle the glass with them! ::)roll ;D
price higher/work harder!
