I going to quote my late father's advice he gave to me when I was a kid.

"Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves."

Success is 1% inspiration, 98% perspiration and 2% attention to detail!

The older I get, the better I was ;)

Breaking down and removing what's on the window. There are two stages, really. Stop it sticking to the window and then get shut of it.
Too much emphasis is placed on rinsing, squeegeeing and solutions and not enough on scrubbing, be it with a brush, applicator or cloth.
Do the first bit right and the second is much easier.

If you want meaningful, you need to go to t'other section.
The topics down there are far more complex than how to stop stuff sticking to a window.
Nah, it's usually Tosh talking about Brexit.

Not enough can be said about practice, practice and when youve had enough, practice some more.
We professionals (😎😎😂😂) make it look easy (it is easy) but thats because we do it day in day out.

Welcome to the madhouse Shane.

Are you using watered pole or traditional?

I going to quote my late father's advice he gave to me when I was a kid.

"Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves."

Seeing as you are looking for better advice Shane, let me explain. I had spent the best part of the afternoon washing and polishing my first 2 wheeler. I had even cleaned the spokes, the rims, the wheel axles, the chain and sprockets and polished the tyres with black shoe polish.

When my Dad came home from work I proudly presented my sparkling bike to him and asked if it was clean. I expected him to tell me it was. But all he said was to look after the pennies and the pounds would look after themselves. I didn't understand what he meant. I told him I wasn't paying myself to clean my own bicycle.

He replied that I was to keep thinking about what he said.

I don't know how long it was of me pestering him for an answer, probably a few days or a week, I don't recall.
Eventually he said. "Pay attention to the small bits of dirt, the pennies, and the overall result will be clean, the pounds." It has nothing to do with money.

This is what Mr Griffin has also said. Take the dirt off and the end result will be clean.

He gave that advice some 60 years ago and I have never forgotten it. I think about what he said virtually everyday I'm out cleaning windows. Whatever method you use to clean windows, traditional or wfp, if you get the small bits of dirt off the windows, the windows will be clean.

Take your time, do a good job, be reliable, smart and be polite,  and hopefully the word will spread, it’s all about taking pride in what you do.

Words of wisdom, we expect nothing less from Sir spruce.

When I was training someone up I always told him, you can clean a whole house to a high standard, but if you miss 1 bit of dirt, thats the bit the customer will notice!

Exactly. Its like that piece of A4 paper you take out of the printer and show it to the kids. Then ask them what they see. If that piece of paper hasn't a mark on it, they will say they see nothing.
If you put a pencil dot on the paper they will see that. They will never see the rest of the clean, white page.

Same can be said when we consider one another. Do we see all the good in a person (the white) or do we focus on the negatives (the marks of the paper)
Its a good illustration with various applications.

But your absolutely right. I did a first clean the other week which was minging. Ive stopped telling people about first cleans and water leaking from the seals after ive left as its rare it happens to me.  Any way later that eve i get a text from the cust (who ive not met its all been by text n gocardless) saying she wasnt happy as on one window this happened with streaks.
Now i could have argued that shes over reacting as every other window is sparkling and all the frames are no longer green and horrid!
Instead i explained how it could have happened and went next day (24hr guarantee) and rectified. The cust was very happy and the next day her neighbour has enquired of a price now as well

I always advise new starters to concentrate on doing a quality job rather than speed.  Eventually the speed will come.

My advice...call a window cleaner.
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?
