I have worked with lying snow and clear roads. But it depends on how urgent the work is.

snow here but its easing off now...about 4 inches of it....hot soup made for my food flask,flask of tea,etc....

ill be starting later(10am),fire up my boiler for 30 mins,defrost the van and the roads should be clearer by then too....

its forecast to get up to 4c this afternoon which will melt the snow anyway.... :)

Last night's snow didn't stick, but the side door of my van was frozen shut earlier (about 7 am).  It was minus 3 so my system might be unusable anyway.  Will nip out to test it later (if I can open the door).

Can't believe after what I said, I've done 2 hrs this afternoon so far and earned £100 so it's not too bad, I'll carry on now after a nice coffee in the sunshine☀️☀️

gridlock everywhere this morning,lorries stuck with wheels spinning,a few bumps and cars skidding...ive never seen the main roads so bad!i thought id made a huge mistake going out this morning but it was ok once i finally got to work....

all scheduled work cleaned as usual...i even got lots more fresh brews than usual as some customers couldnt get into work today.....all in all a good day.... 8)

I had other things to do anyway.  I did end up getting about 3 hours work in eventually.  I always earn a good hourly rate when I know I'm only doing a part day, because I know I won't have to sustain that speed all day long.

How do you even work in daytime temps of -5°? I can manage down to -2° with cold water but it’s no fun and borderline dangerous leaving water on the ground. At those temps there’s no chance I’d even attempt it.

icy here,minus 2 and freezing fog,still a bit of  snow left over from yesterday  as well.....its forecast to get to 3c this afternoon so still a workable day,im not starting till at least 10am though!...its the side roads that are bad....

luckily im on estate work this week,so no driving about between jobs(4 days work all on one estate)....

Still  -5 here in Essex according to app. Transfer hose in garage was frozen solid. Got some water on my boots and froze to the frigging pavement !!...pmsl. Had heaters in vans for 4 hours and pole hose still frozen. Gonna go about 10 but more concerned how the water is gonna react/freeze at customers houses.....gulp !!

The app is a forecast not a measurement.
