Seeing as business customers can't use the counter service it makes no difference to us.

On another note I will be stopping taking cheques all together this year.  Most of my cheque payers have already converted to card payments.

You can do all your Santander banking at the Post Office.

Its the same with Natwest. Cash has to be on one deposit slip and is credited to your account. Cheques on another deposit slip in a sealed envelope and takes 4 or 5 days for Natwest to acknowledge receipt of them.

Some fairly major towns listed there, but not mine.  It usually escapes when a company announces partial closures, due to high footfall in the town centre.  The big plus is having the ability to bank at the ATM out of hours.  Post office banking is unlikely to accommodate that, apart from which, we will be losing our post office when it re-sites in WH Smith's in a few months.

The one in my town is closing. The few customers who still pay by cheque will be asked if they can pay online from now on......every cloud....

Well I never knew you could do that  :-[..just looked and you can do it on the Santander app.

That will save me 90p on parking and a quid on sausage rolls from the pound bakery next door to my Santander branch on a Saturday morning.

Bloody hell cheques on your phone whatever next. Technology eh

Where on the app is it?   I've just searched all over mine and it does not exist.  I am using the business banking app
