when you ve been wfpoling for a few more years and your in your mid to late forties you ll be using lighter poles and brushes i guarantee it.....its the number 1 way of making your working day  easier......as well as using electric reels....

your still a newbie wfpoler  nathan.......you ll learn one day.......

The pole situation i can understand, as in carbon poles are better than fibreglass and hybrid poles, thats just a fact.

However as daz as mentioned the main point and one i keep stressing the weight issue is mostly health related more than an actual cleaning benefit.   I suppose some would argue the same with hot water over cold.  But really to have a pop at people for using a slightly heavier brush is like having a pop at someone benching that extra kg more than you, just because they can and it doesnt effect their working day nor week.
However if the arguement was based on design and hence the weight difference then i could understand their arguement. Take for instance the big chunky vikan brushes, then you have a point. These brushes were not made for wfp purposes but adapted and the chunky plastic could cause damage to frames n sill etc. That would be a valid point.

Mate that analogy about weights doesn’t make sense. Have you seen the latest videos of Ronnie Coleman? One of the strongest men alive at one point, now he struggles to walk.

Repetitive strain is what we have to deal with. Even with extreme poles the movements will catch up with us when we are older. We can only minimise it. The best way to minimise it is to use the lightest equipment possible.

Strength has nothing to do with being able to use a heavier pole. Think about the long game.

ronnie colemans an idiot......as well as all the other extreme juiced up bodybuilders....why some people look up to these guys ill never know....whats so great about someone who uses vast amounts of steroids and spends most of his time in a gym?

back on topic....i notice a big difference in how i feel at the end of a working day if im using a SLX 25 compared to a xtreme 25 for example......i have lots of awkward windows on some parts of my round and it makes a MASSIVE DIFFERENCE if im using an xtreme brush and pole to clean these windows...its a lot less strain generally.....

it wouldnt be practical to use a contraption like that for most of us domestic window cleaners.it would be a hindrance,more than a help,commercial window cleaners with very large jobs with very high windows it might help......

Why would you not use the very best equipment, if you can afford it?

I would not be without my xtreme, it makes work easy and means I’m fresher to do the things I enjoy.
