Why do you want the 8 mm we have used both over the years and the 6mm is far easier to use and pull round corners , there is no noticeable difference when using 6 mm either providing you re calibrate your controller s  some ware buirried in my garage I have 2x100 meters of 8 mm ( red hot hose) that I took off the van as it was just so heavy , try the 6 mm Ime sure you would never go back to the 8 mm we certainly won’t . The orange hose was discontinued several years ago as it was constantly sticky and stretched like elastic  , it was replaced with the red hot hose that’s a totaly difference animal very nice hose but it’s to heavy in 8 mm the 6 mm is fine give it a try , to be fair normal Gardiners yellow microbore will last a couple of years with very hot water we use it on our vans 8 hours a day 5 days a week light and easy to move after two years just replace it

My system Concept 2O will not work with microbore hose not enough flow for boiler to cut in, am using Gardiners minibore hose but find it twists and kinks a lot compared with the thermobore which is soft.

Ah yes I have Hurd this before ,  I have Gardiners yellow microbore and find it’s ok it will stretch a bit if you pull it like mad but if you go sensible with it it’s fine , not used it but I assume there mini bore would be the same hose just a bit bigger ?. We have never experienced any twisting or problems with it , Grippatank have there own hot hose red in colour again they used to do it in 8 and 6 mm we only use the 6 mm as the 8 was to heavy , I assume they still make it , have you looked in there web site or give them a ring maybe ??

No Dazmond this isn't one of the cheap Chinese boilers, it's a 240 volt gas boiler which runs off an inverter. Grippa no longer do the 8mm hose. The flow on 6mm hose is not sufficient for the boiler to come on, Initially used to use half inch hose but now old and find it far to heavy thanks anyway Richard'

Ionics do an 8mm hose that they say is perfect for hot water. RX Hose they call, it used to be orange but now is sky blue.

I had a go of it while I was waiting for my system to be fitted about a year ago. Very good quality hose, but 8mm is just too heavy for me.
