Thought this might be a good place to get some expert advice.
I’m buying a van from a window cleaner, the van seems in great condition low miles fully serviced and appears to be well looked after.
The chap used it for his window cleaning business. He’s owened the vehicle since brand new. I suspect he used a pole fed water system in the van. Should I be concerned about any long term rust issues?
I can’t see any major rust beneath the vehicle on chassis or anything but I did see a small amount of water in the footwell.
I thought folks in here might have experience on this matter.

It should be no different to buying any used car or van.

If the window cleaning system which is installed in the van is leak free rust should be no more of an issue than on any van. It's definitely worth checking the payload of the van vs. the amount of water & equipment carried, if the weight carried is over or near to the payload limit when full this will put extra strain on springs, suspension, brake components etc...

Personally I would not buy an ex-window cleaning van but this is because I like to set up my system the way I like it.... also it means I have a wider choice of vans.

I took this as meaning you're buying a van previously used for water fed pole window cleaning with the equipment removed ?
If there is any ply lining on floor, check its not damp or rotten underneath, if good then you should have no worries, no more than with any other van. In fact if the seller has had it from new as you say, they've probably taken better care of it than a lot of builders etc.

If its a transit connect, check the front footwells, water tends to collect there from dripping hoses, and sloshing water caps
