Why do so many rounds come up for sale?
« on: January 07, 2019, 07:05:16 am »
I have long wondered why so many rounds come up for sale in window cleaning. Is it mostly because getting paid is a huge problem?
It's seems as though there are more sellers than buyers of rounds, I'm not sure what that means.

Good window cleaning work is like gold dust , my customers are either cash or go cardless  , so it’s all paid the same week and earns £45 per hour, £300 per day  , why would I sell it  ....  very good work is rarely up for sale ,

I would agree with your statement that good rounds coming up for sale is very rare. I think alot of these rounds for sale change hands often because people are not paying on time.
A round came up beside me but I didn't bother with it, I'm very skeptical of these rounds for sale.

It’s no different to buying any business , I bought some work 6 years ago to add to what I had  and it’s proved an excellent investment, but had viewed couple rounds before that were not great , words like text them the night before or been established 6 months are for me none starters , I ve had customers 20 years and they all know how payments are made , it can be very profitable window cleaning but takes work like all businesses to get there ....

Soupy had hit the nail on the head. Its BORING.  Been doing it for 16 years, and been through several pain barriers on wanting to pack it all in.

Agree mate it’s hard anytime of year money aside to motivate yourself , plus s are start finish when you want , money £45 per hour , and  getting in the van to finish  the days a lovely feeling but apart from that your right not great , 😏...
