Renault traffic , cheap to buy , drives well and you would t know you had 650 ltr tank in it when driving , ideal for a work van

I’d go for a Nemo you can drive it from on top of the tank lol,you want a medium sized van m8 I personally wouldn’t go for a traffic-vivaro unless you have a mechanic in the family.

It all depends on how much driving you're doing, my dispatch will handle 650lts with no problems but now that I'm doing more commercial work that requires a bit of distance driving I would rather have a van that's less sluggish.

Wot NWH said, my Vivaro is like Triggers broom ( not quite true as the yellow paint is original) plan was to keep it for 4 yrs then trade in - as everything is new now (1 engine, turbo, 4 injectors, 4 wheel bearings, 1 window motor and a partridge in a pear tree) I'll keep it for at least 8yrs. A good Vivaro is a godsend a bad one %^&**@@@@@@

They are poop m8 I know a bloke used to sell em he said to me he sold 1 to a bloke that thought he’s got a bargain a few years ago at 14k brand new,he said little does he know that when he brings it back after 4 years he’ll be lucky if we have him 3-4 grand for it.
They said they changed the engine and gearbox on em changed lots of other things, they still break like bread sticks.
A chap said to me once if you buy a van have a look at how many vans are still driving around at 10 years + and are going strong,so true  it gives you an idea of what’s reliable over time I know you are now gonna get people say this and that but it’s a fact. If you chop your van in every 3-4 years who cares but even then I know people who’ve had traffics and vivaros that have had trouble very early on,it used to be said trouble comes at 30000 with those particular vans and it seems right with the story’s I’ve heard.

I have dispatch 2 litre 650 tank
2 Renualt traffics new shape 1.6 litre engine both with 650 tanks work great but I still have my 2010  iveco daily 2.3 engine again 650 tank  still going strong and by far the best van for the job but not for personal use .The new Renualt traffic is a great all round van.

On the whole the traffic is an unreliable van,you are always going to get the exception all the people I know that’s had them wouldn’t buy another.
It used to be almost a given you’d need a new clutch and gearbox early in its life, the main thing I’ve heard with em other then that is stuck valves.

I had a long wheel base VW Transporter, loved it,  hold their resale value well and good quality build.  Got a Mercedes Vito now, got a lot more power and pleasure to drive  :)

I would still go for a VW over the Merc they seemed to have cheapend the look of all the Merc vans not knocking em,the Vdubs just look quality as well as the reliability factor.

I don't like the new mercs, they've got smaller engines and not so torquey. Don't like the shape of the new ones or the interior, think they look plain.  Bought the 639 version with the updated headlights, smarter interior and more  power, got the dualiner version, drives like a car and a lot more oomph than my transporter had. Just fancied a change, still got the VW , turned it into a camper

10 grand depreciation over 4 years ain’t too bad then is it?

The new Dispatch is far from sluggish. I’ve got a 1.6  and a 2.0 . We carry 500 litres (1,000 kg payload so would be fine with 650) and it is very quick with a full tank but the 2.0 with 1.4 kg payload is startlingly quick for a van. It carries 800 litres with ease.

Transit custom.

But then, I’m biased, everyone will recommend the van they drive (except  traffic/vivaro owners)

In have a 65 plate vivaro...had it nearly 2 years and it been brilliant..

My 59 plate primastar I had before was a nightmare though!

I think it boils down to if you get a good one your lucky if you get a bad one your unlucky same with any other vehicle..

The vivaro/trafic/primastar can't be that bad as you see loads on the roads  ;)

I would only buy another Trafic/Vivaro/Primastar if it were brand new (or very nearly) and I didn't intend to keep it beyond four years (that's 35k-40k miles for me).
