Window cleaning companies merging/partners
« on: November 27, 2018, 06:19:14 pm »
Good evening guys and girls.

Has anyone successfully heard of or better still merged themselves with another window cleaning company or even taken on a partner.

Two local companies near me merged and it wasn't a success and that was window cleaning.

Just wondering if anyone has been in this situation.....

TIA

no doubt some work but most dont.......

me personally would never going in partnership with anyone....no chance!
price higher/work harder!

Cheers Daz

Partnership and merge is gonna be the same outcome really. Unless I’m 100% the boss.

Absolutely not.

Never worth the risk, I nearly did it 3 years ago with a very good friend, something told me it wasn’t a good idea.

My intuition paid off as he’s now in a bad place and I would not want to be a partner with him at this time at all! It would be extremely stressful had i gone ahead with it based on current events.

Be your own boss, be a boss, but never be a shared boss in a game like this.

Partnerships only work if there is respect and trust. Promoting 'healthy debate' (read; screaming arguments) is essential.

If you're not used to compromise or listening to others, you're unlikely to be capable of making a partnership work.

There are 1000s of partnerships out there. Some of them do quite well.

I was in a partnership for 15 years up to 2002....there were the odd problems but oddly enough never financial ones.
We worked together about 65% of the time and for that we split the money 50/50...if one of us took the day off we wouldn't get paid....we didn't cherry pick work if on our own just got on with the work that was due......most of the work was decent anyway.
He moved to Derbyshire in 2002 because of the problems round here especially in the schools......he left me everything including the van and would not take anything for it.....think he now runs a pub down there.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

My team consists of two partners.

How it works is that they wear clothing with our branding on it, and they attach magnetic signs with our logo onto their vans when they are working with us. They do 3 days a week with us, and they service their own work the rest of the time.

I only work with window cleaners who work by themselves and do not employ.

Our prices start at £27 for two bed terraced, and a 3 bed semi with no extension / connie is £29 - every 12 wks.

My partner fee is 25%, all payment is by Go Cardless.

I've been doing this since June and it works well for all of us so far.

Has none of your customers cottoned on to this yet and thought, wait a minute, I’m going to cut out the middle man and save myself some money?

That's subbing, not partnership or merger.
