marketing to building companies
« on: November 26, 2018, 06:56:20 pm »
looking to take on my after builders work.

we do plenty, but all the companies find us and we get the work that way, however we're now looking to chase them. i've got a girl in the office that has time she can set each week to this.

where we're struggling is how would you find local new estates/building sites from the comfort of an office, and then who's in charge of the cleaning there.

we can find local companies, but often the ones we work with can be based on say manchester due to the nature of the work, and even then perhaps the cleaning is organised by a different company any way

any help appreciated

I would send in some good marketing literature to the head offices of the building companies. Ring first to try and ascertain who'd be the best person to send to.

Local estate agents who will be marketing the properties will always be aware of up coming building work , or just keep an eye on local planning applications with the council

thanks. wouldn't this be a bit aimless though, as there will be tones of companies, but the chance that they have a site local enough to us would be slim?

Keeping yourself a presence in the local community is always a great idea.  Leaflets or business cards in all the local estate agents and solicitors if possible.  I always used to favour local mags as well such as church publications.  Cheap and cheerful but they worked.  There will be lots of the high tech guys on here laughing but there are still a lot of people out there without tech and they have a big disposable income
