Van heater

Hi everyone just wondering if any of you guys use a electric blanket over tank and pump ,,or what heater is best

Yes that's what I've always used,but just recently had electric smart meter fitted and can't believe how expensive they are to run

dont bother then.....and risk being frozen off the next morning.... ::)roll

honestly some of you are real cheapskates......it cant cost THAT much compared to a morning off work(or worse a broken cracked pump).....

I just use an electric fan heater set on frost protect. Point it towards the hoses and reels stops them from icing up

on the subject of smart meters..i had a guy round the other month trying to talk me round to having one fitted...i told him im paying £6 a week in electric on a pre payment meter(i have an electric cooker too)and around £10 a week in gas.....he said your getting a great deal and it would be MORE expensive to switch to the smart meter!i thanked him for his honesty and politely declined! ;) ;D

That's incredibly cheap Dazmond. You sure? If so who are you with?

It's around £20 per month for a fridge freezer so feck knows how you are £6 pw for lecky, especially when it's a couple of quid pw for the the running charge on the pre pay meter. Have you got a hole cut in the side covered up with boot polish?

SSE  malc(it used to be ebico but they merged i think)..ive been with them for years.i live in a one bed flat though and often spend a couple of nights at my girlfriends most weeks.....

i also recently had a new boiler fitted which is a lot more economical(it used to be around £20 a week in gas during the winter months).

i have a large fridge freezer,electric cooker and i charge my leisure batteries every night.....i have got energy saving bulbs in most rooms though... ;D

it used to be around £5 per week up until last year when they put their prices up......

Your right, now need to find that extra £15! We're £150 ish pm for gas & lecky so I tried to spare the kids and myself getting the blame for electronics bumping the bill up and we're wanting another tv and xbox.
