It's raining again
« on: November 20, 2018, 07:27:28 pm »
Been reading through past threads on this subject and as you would expect there is a variety of opinions (and attitudes towards customers).  Trying to find a balance between providing a reliable service, earning an income and not taking the p is hard.  Anyway, one inside clean for me tomorrow and that's it until Thursday.

the answer is just clean in all but the worst of the weather(heavy rain for hours with strong wind is a no no for me but anything else YES),customers get used to it,you dont fall behind with your work, your bank balance will be healthier and you wont get cabin fever.......

BE PREPARED!decent wet weather gear makes a huge difference.invest in at least 2 waterproof jackets, waterproof boots and hiking trousers, gloves to keep you going through a wet day.....

it very rarely rains all day...you might have to work in say 2 hours of rain out of 6 hours work if your really unlucky....

you might feel a bit miserable working in the rain but i guarantee youll feel worse sat at home not earning.....
price higher/work harder!

Today was the first day for 6 months that I haven't done a full day due to weather.

It peed down till ten then was drizzling till about 1 then heavy rain.

I think I did 8 jobs today.

Rest of week it's showers but doesn't look as bad.

If I'm behind with work I'll work in anything and elanyone who doesn't like it can be skipped. If I'm up to date I don't mind having some time off anyway as it's rare it's bad enough to warrant not cleaning.

I only did three jobs today, but that's all I had scheduled anyway as I'm slightly in front.  They were decent sizes though so it was £130.  There was a time I would have deferred them until tomorrow.

Thanks guys for your response.  As it turned out, I was right. I did a big inside clean and and basically ped down all day, with high winds.
