Having looked at these a while ago I found that folks said the yellow wheeled one is a fake and the wheels fall apart etc... Midland ladders sells them and seems like a decent company and I doubt they would sell them if they were sh!t (I may be wrong). So far (only had it three weeks) the wheels haven't fell off or came apart! The other thing that was mentioned on FB was the retaining springs were to long for one user which I have found to be true with my smaller ladder from bcs but fine with the bigger Lyte ladder.  The inner part of the wheel is black in the above link but it's yellow I received.
The wheels are rubber and when placed against a wall or roof tile they then compress when ascending the ladder so I would assume with the inner yellow part being solid plastic this is where they will separate, if that happens then some pole clamp adhesive will sort it or they'll be cheap enough to replace.

yes its an ok buy looks to be unto standard whether id trust squashy wheels is another matter I do like my standard stand off

The squashy wheels are brilliant. I've just bought a new titan ladder and will add two new black square squashy wheels to it to make it safer than it already is. Microlite standoff is a good bit of kit even on roof tiles.

These must be the ebay ones. Surely ladders999 (link above) or midland ladders wouldnt sell a fake or hss hire forgthst matter
Out of interest, does the hook go over the higher or lower rung?

Yellow as in the insert is yellow and I'm under the impression that Micro lite is a brand name and these are then considered to be copies.
Midland calls it "The 'Ultimate' Square-Wheel Ladder Stay"
Ebay is ebay and folks on there will advertise whatever they want.
From what I've seen the official Microlite is around £190.00

This shows the wheels with a black centre as does ebay but ebay supplies the same on as Midlands with the yellow centre.

lol, I can't say it's fake but it does have the yellow centre on the wheels. The brand on the wheels is something like square wheels .com or square wheel products. It's most likely the same one as on Midland ladders and ebay which I bought and there's nothing wrong with it.

The question I can't answer is; Is Microlight a registered trade mark or brand name and other companies have copied the design. If so are they as good and is there any safety standards they have to meet, I might be wrong but I don't think there is.

I’ve been using the yellow wheeled one all day today. Had it for about a year, no problems with it’s quality. Would happily recommend it. 👍

I wanted to get a triple Titan as my double from years ago was a great ladder.  I called to get one but Midland ladders said they didn't stock them because they said the company was taken over and changed the rungs and they weren't happy with the new design. Ladders999 also don't stock them. Reluctantly I went and bought a Lyte triple instead.   How's your Titan?

I bought a new titan ladder off an electrician who doesn't use it as  he ordered the wrong size, he only bought it a week previously so my gain. Can't remember the site I seen the squashy black wheels for my ladder but they are ready fitted on a plate to mount on ladders with the black squashy wheels not the yellow ones, will have to check my browsing history for the bookmark or google them again after Xmas. The ladder is good as I can separate all three sections and lock it off so it can be moved with two simple locking brackets attached to the ladder. Very slim and sturdy ladder, do for what I need it for, pleased with it, paid ninety instead of one hundred and thirty five so happy with that seeing as it's virtually brand new.

I might just pay the £190 and get the original microlite. At least I know getting quality.  The hss hire place sells theirs new for £110 that's why I was curious of the cheaper ones and it looks just the same
