so just discovered that u gotta send a £10 letter before a letter before action now to a private individual , so it not as cheap to chase small debts with an official letter as before , been told you can add it to claim either , anyone else use a cheaper alternative? its only a £50 debt so not sure about the added expense!

If you're a member of the FSB you can get solicitor's letters for free.

Just send your own letter before action.  Plenty of free templates about.
