Can you beat this?
« on: June 27, 2006, 05:36:41 pm »
I have been window cleaning this ladys house for 19yrs, and have never met her. And only spoke to her once on  the phone.

I clean her house every month and leave the envelope and she returns the cheque. And at the end of the year £25 extra.

Thats a long time without seeing her, can you beat that????

19 years; Blimey!

I've one customer who I've cleaned for nearly two years and not met, since her neighbor always pays for her.

I suspect this customer who I've not seen is sometimes in; but is scared of meeting new people or window cleaners or something.

But anyway, we've this good payment routine; so I'm happy with the situation.

I can't beat it, only been a wc for 9 yrs, but have 1 customer I have been doing for this time, but have never met,

I think its a holiday home for them, and they only come down at weekends, The customer in the village pays for her,and she also pays for another 4 customers who are out at work.

That would be another good thread to have is, if a customer pays for another, how many do they pay for, I have one customer, who comes out as soon as they see me, and pays for six more customers at once, One day I turned up, never had chance to get out of my car, and had £150 in my hand, this was because one of the customers he pays for was haveing some guttering work done. £150 and I wasn't even out of the car Can you beat that ?

I have a customer who I've not met in about 6 or 7 years.  The cheque always comes through within a week.  I can't match 19 years though.  Anyway, I've only been w/c'ing for 15 years.

I was putting flyers out one day and a guy came to the door and thrust £10 into my hand because he thought I had cleaned his windows!
