Combination ladder users
« on: November 15, 2018, 02:23:50 pm »
Hello as title

Anyone recommend a decent combination ladder that covers the uses of a wfp user

Talking about ladders with hinges fold in 4 places?
When used as a step ladder allow you to get over 6 foot + gates

Are these ladders up to getting over gates onto flat roofs and conservatory roof cleaning ?

I’ve searched old posts but links no longer exist.

Have tried little giant ripoff by screw fix and just found too heavy!!

Currently split my ladder for access when I have to

I do text some customers, if I have too 😣 for unlocking

I think Sean k had a link to a ladder by bps but can’t work out which one?

Many thanks 👍

I have the 4.7m multi position ladder similar to this one, you can get them from bps or on Amazon.

Ive got a ‘little giant’ ladder, folds up really easily and is very well made, but is a bit heavy for the size.

I also bought a loft ladder (without all the railing and hinge bits) purely for gate hopping as it’s stupidly light and easy to use.

Rarely do I use my roof rack anymore.

Thanks zesty

I do have a screwfix lil giant rip off
But find it heavy + just about  tall enough 😣

Loft ladder sounds good

I know some use telescopic ladders

Take it this is 2 sets of singles?

I have seen telescopic A step ladders but not sure if there up to it 🤔

As all ready said google little giant ladders they are excellent especially for inside conservatories , they are however heavy , but very robust and stable I have the 5 rung version with levellers and it’s very good

Mines firm Homebase but it’s basically this one

https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7004078?cmpid=GS001&_$ja=tsid:59156%7Cacid:444-797-0832%7Ccid:189934405%7Cagid:18091935925%7Ctid:aud-484139256461:pla-96719362285%7Ccrid:77627770405%7Cnw:g%7Crnd:16139131536931137539%7Cdvc:m%7Cadp:1o1%7Cmt:%7Cloc:1006644&gclid=CjwKCAiAz7TfBRAKEiwAz8fKOIEtYDw4UQY4RzasDweF-Mdww1OptdZGpriULeGABDvcCE0w4dM8GBoCpHQQAvD_BwE

So light and handy for gates and getting on flat roofs.

The little giant is only really used when I need the extra height since getting this loft ladder!

Zesty, does that loft ladder separate into 2 sections?

Otherwise wondering how you hop those gates 🤔

Thanks lee

Yes its that one, There are a number of different sellers on Amazon just pick the one with the best feedback, yep I use if for garage roofs and the odd locked gate and have never had a problem with it.
They lock into place in such a way that the ladder would break before it would collapse.

I’ve never tried separating it.

I use it to unbolt gates or climb up then hop over the gate.

It’s also really  useful for flat roofs as it’s so light and easy to shove in and out of the van
