Of late it was becoming very irritating. All my texts go out at 9am (40-60 a day) and within minutes I'll be getting "what time please?", "can you make it Wednesday" and so on. A month ago I changed it to a no reply service. Wow! Absolutely no texts back, less skips and fronts only and only a call if there's scaffolding or somesuch. Perhaps one every three days? A revelation!

 ;D hello 8 weekly

Just going to have a moan on a

“Roughy what time will you be there?”

Driving me bonkers

It’s the ones that just start padlocking

Ridiculous!

Gates been unlocked for the last 10 + years

Then go completely opposite direction, won’t leave unlocked for say half a day

House alarmed etc

The more you involve yourself in their text conversation the more difficult it becomes

In the end I asked that customer leaves gate key hidden in front garden if out.

After a few messages trying to explain 🙄

I pop key through letterbox when done

Currently raining but forecast to stop late morning midday.

What’s the bet I get another message “are you still coming”

How do you send a text so customer can not reply?

Currently use George and my iPhone

Tbh it’s a handful and I work alone

So not looking to sign up for expensive software
(for me expensive as George was one off £50 fee)

Well done 8 weekly 👍

I don’t really get that many unless holiday or building work going on - which I do appreciate being told of instead of driving to big house and there’s scaffolding up. However I understand where your coming from

My favourite text recently was:

Hi John, it's Pete the window cleaner, your clean is due tomorrow, so could you please leave your side gate unlocked. Regards Peter.
Hi Peter, i'm out all day tomorrow, could we do Wednesday?
Unfortunately not, I'm not around for the next few weeks.
Oh, is it ok if I leave the gate unlocked and some money under a pot?
YAWN!!!!

That's because you aren't growing constantly. If you have the same customers for years they know how it works and the annoying ones you drop.

👍 that’s my position as a one man
Band

I shouldn’t let the odd few wind me up

Just gets boring but the business is
Based on Repetition, so the problems will be too 🤔

Well done 8 weekly in conquering
the micro manger’s, messers and p.i.t.a’s😁

The thing I found most annoying was not giving the address when replying as there was no way to identify them if I wasn't in the office.

Thats because they didn't want you to come round and clean their windows. If you dont know where they live how could you  ;D

Hi, I'm due to clean your windows tomorrow, if the side gate could be left unlocked so all the windows can be cleaned.
Thank you

Besides this, all my customers know that if the gate is still locked then I charge 75% ofthe full charge for just cleaning the fronts. My new customers know this from their welcome sheet.:

I only have the odd one who ask when, and I simply let them know if it's roughly am or a pm visit. They never ask a second time so I don't really get ones texting back.
