Been trading 20 years today.

Bet you’ve seen lots of changes over the years.

In 2004 at 16 years old I started working for a window cleaning company, went self employed in 2010. I’m 31 years old this month and I’ve been window cleaning for 14 years. Gonna be a long Haul for me, as I can’t see myself doing anything else different. I like it too much.

It was a white Vauxhall Cav, before that then a blue one, then a Sierra, a Peugeot 206 and  a really ancient pickup before that which I cant even remember what it was.

It will be 16 years for me next April. 16 years trading and will have an extra van and employee.

To clean for 20yrs is as great achievement, particularly with the weather we deal with all  the time to hot or freezing wind rain. Well done for hanging in there.

I'm into my 32nd year, I have 3 sons and son in law who now do the workload I help out if they fall behind.

Spend the rest of time leafleting and quoting, being off the glass has given me renewed enthusiasm for expanding business. I want to grow it by 4 more rounds, then pass it over to the kids to run.

Hopefully retire by the time I'm 55.

And we'll done on making it to 20 years.

I started on 3.2.1997, initially working for a friend who showed me the ropes.

I went it alone on 15.5.1997.

It would be interesting to know who on here has been going the longest.
