Hi Belinda. Click on the debts button at the top. IT brings all debts up.

Hi Belinda,

Let me see what I can do...I'm currently working on the frequency issue and then Ill have a look into a search feature. Just out of interest you can filter the debts by round which will give you a slightly smaller list  :)

I have downloaded your new software and have had a look at it now.

Please don't take offence and I congratulate you on all your hard work & effort you put into developing this software, but I am going to stick with george the window cleaners assistant. George has a few downfalls but I think it has the edge!

Hi Clear Vision,

Thanks for your thoughts, I don't suppose you would want to share with me what the edge is as this would help develop our software further. I can be contacted on ian@windowcleanerpro.com

Thanks

Ian

well it looks good from the website, but I cant get it to install.  I downloaded the "setup.exe" and then the "WindowCleaner.application" but when I try to run the thing it says

"Cannot download the application.  The application is missing required files.  Contact application vendor for assistance"

I am using Windows XP

Hi Philip,

You dont actually download the files, the software is deployed directly from the site, all you need to do is click on the Download button and click Run instead of Save.

Let me know if you are still having problems...I can be contacted personally on ian@windwocleanerpro.com

Thanks

I don't suppose anyone can give me a real life scenario for the frequency i.e. a round with x number of jobs that have different frequencies and what you would expect to see in the schedule.

This is the test I have been using:

Round - Cromer Way
Job 1 Cromer Way, 7 Days, Last Done 27th June -> Next due 4th July
Job 2 Cromer Way, 7 Days, Last Done 28th June -> Next due 5th July
Job 3 Cromer Way, 14 Days, Last Done 27th June -> Next due 11th July.

If people think this is ok then great if not then some real sample data would be really helpful for testing

Thanks

Ian

Ah solved.  Tip for anyone, launch the installer from Internet Explorer.  It doesn't work from firefox.

Glad you got it working.

We tried it from firefox and the biggest problem we faced was that once it was downloaded a firewall was blocking access to download the remaining files.

Have fun and let me know if you have any more problems or questions

For now i have unistalled it for now

I think george has the edge.

I like the diary view which george has where you can easily see from one day to the next what you have.

Its also easier to put in payments in george just click address and click pay.

I dont like the way you have to set up all these rounds.
I like mine as one round where i can see everything in the order i set the program up in.

I will come back to it at a later date and have another go

Hi Paul,

Fair Enough and thanks for at least trying the software. I am working on the rounds thing so that you can define one round and have all your jobs under 1 round. Im not sure I understand what you mean about entering payments but would be greatful if you could explain a bit futher.

The schedule that we have used is a business model that we have successfully deployed across a number of differnet business as it does not tie you to a specific day but gives you a snap shot of your business and the outstanding work.

Thanks again

Ian,

Frequency is a real headace!!!!!

I built a Lotus Approach Database for my round.
I went to a freind who, like you is a computer wiz.  He uses Microsoft Visual Basic and Access.  The major problem was trying to generate a "Due Date".

I have two Rounds:

1.  Commercial.  Weekly and fortnightly shops.  Each shop can have a monthly cycle.  Eg.

1st week         Shop and paint
2nd week         Shop front
3rd week         Shop in and out
4th week          Shop front

To further comlicate matters.....1st week is 1st week of the month.  It is a monthly cycle not 4 weekly so.........every 3 months I have a 5th week!!!!

If you can sort this out....................you are a geniuose!!!!!!!!
