We need 2 new rotaries, don't have to be heavy, we've got a heavy one. Mixed duties encapping, hard floor brush cleaning, etc.

There's the Numatic hurricane, 17", 1,000 watts, or the Truvox Orbis, 15", 1,100 watts. Any user experience? Any other brands to consider (please don't suggest Victor - wouldn't touch with a bargepole after recent experience)?

We'd love a couple of Rockies - Klindex is just the mutts nuts, but we seem to be able to get the Orbis for about £450, and for the work we've got in mind, I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for a good reason, but not much.

strange , i got a victor used but good condition 4 years ago , and i cant seem to break it , i put a hard brush on some carpets and it groans and does a rodeo dance but still keeps going .   
dont know if the klindex is all that , i got the orbital and the paint was falling off almost straight away , italians were always bad with metal and paint .

Never experienced that and have sold literally 100’s of them.  Must be a fault, send me some pictures and I will see what I can do.

I have some other machines as well as KLINDEX which we sell for the exact reason you have mentioned and they are well within the budget you are looking at.  They are 154 RPM new with water tank , brush and driveboard

Our Trojan has done a lot of hard work, but it started falling apart from day 1, when the wheels fell off. The cast handle snapped a month later, and since Dowding & Plummer went west, the new people can't be bothered - we've had a new skirt on order for 18 months, despite 5 or 6 phone calls, so we've limped along with the cracked plastic, now the power's just gone, and I can't be arsed to find out why (and most of the red paint has flaked off). We've got a few bits of Klindex already, and it's all such nice stuff you're proud to take it into a job. Some paint can flake in high wear areas, but it's still a solid bit of kit.
