I prefer to be out as early as possible. Usually start with whatever commercial work is due from 7am onwards. Usually home and showered for 3pm.

Sick of traffic and gridlock. I'd sooner leave at 7 and get to my working area even if it means sitting in van for 45 mins killing time on my phone with a flask of coffee and  returning home by 3.
Reality is my gf doesn't drive and often requires lifts to and from work and is rarely ready when I am  >:(

I prefer early starts, then a coffee mid morning as it's been earnt.
However I'm on school runs in morning, as kids went back into schooling and sadly at mo, not in the same school, so it's a mad dash. So coffees at 9, normally with a breakfast Subway and work through till school pick ups.
Sure I'm not the only one with such schedules tho

i need at least 90 mins in the morning to make breakfast(which is usually porridge/fruit, 3 eggs, tea and coffee),make a flask and packed lunch and generally chill out for a bit before heading out the door... ;D

if i get up late i still have at least 90 mins before driving to my first job....

Out the door by 8am, or much earlier on commercial, usually home by 1-2pm,  though took many years to refine my round to fit in those hours and still pay very well.

I’ve never worn a head torch. The commercials that I’m usually doing early morning are big Next stores and similar retail stuff. Plenty of light about to do that type of work in the dark. Even the odd office on business parks will never be completely dark around the building.

Not over in leafy Cheshire anyway Daz, maybe electricity has yet to reach gloomy Salford? 😂

I'm a bit like Daz.....I like a good hour before I even start thinking about working...usually 9.00/9.30 start to miss worst of traffic....I like some grub inside me before I set off so beans on toast or similar with a pint pot of tea.....I eat dinner on the hoof though so I can finish around 3.30/4.00 although sometimes will be later. Wife puts sarnies up night before.
Never set alarm.
