Been using cold water for a week or so now and  I noticed I’m getting so much more grit and dirt sticking to the hoses.

I don’t think it’s knackered Daz but it has a fault on it,it’s less than a year old the internal workings that is. It’s a different model to the one grippa sell so if I get a fault in the future it’s got 3 years warranty and even after that they’ll be able to plug it in and fix it,I just want a new one m8 Oliver will get it looking all neat and tidy again

I’ve gone for the 9 kw version and I’m getting 45-50 degrees out of the 5kw so I’m hoping for more heat at the brush, did a weatherboard clean yesterday with cold 😂 it came up clean but it didn’t look like it had been deep cleaned if you know what I mean as it does with hot.

yep same one ive got nigel plus you ll get the frost stat feature which you didnt have on your other one.during the cold spell  last winter when we had the snow/ice it was brilliant....you ll get 60c+ at the brush end in the warmer months for sure.....the smart b+b charger is very good too and will keep the batteries topped up when your out and about(which is even more important in the colder months IMO)

not cheap but its a good heater(£750 was VAT though!).oliver also fitted my pump inside the heater so the systems nice and tidy..... :)

Daz I have the battery to battery charger or inverter from them m8,I’ve had a frost stat feature for 12 years 😂,I can strip 1 down and replace it all I just can’t be bothered anymore my Mrs has had enough of me messing about outside for hours stripping bits off and replacing them she’s bought me another 1. I also want it to look nice when I open the back doors all nice and shiney,I’ll only end up giving to the Taxman in 18 months. So yes I’m getting a new 1 m8 but I’ve had hot water for nearly 13 years now. 🙏

For the plug into the mains charger I paid more than 750 m8 more like 12-1300 quid I paid last year.

I also stripped off the needle valve adjuster on my 5 kw so it was just running hot all year,in the winter on some windows it was like Russian roulette on some panes of glass.

They don’t sell a hot water diesel unit without the frost stat mode m8 they never have done the controller looks different but they all have that feature, pointless having a heater without it.

Love the frost system on my Grippa Hydro Heat, and saves all the faffing and worry.

Only downside I have on it is the noise it makes as it sounds amplified in the dead of the night.     Its not too loud but the start up process makes a few loud jet engine noises but gets quieter once its heated up.    Not had any complaints from neighbours last winter so far,  but my wife has complained to me a few times during the night.

But its worth it!!

Depends who fits it for you if the air intake pipe has less kinks in it the heater is quieter, the grippa heater is the same as the Ionic’s 1 but it’s fitted differently hence it’s quieter.
