What’s best portable machine
« on: September 30, 2018, 06:35:34 pm »
Hi guys, what is the best small portable machine on the market these days. I have been doing carpet cleaning on rare occasions for my current customer base which is mainly window cleaning, I have a cfr 500 at the moment but I just find it to big and heavy when I only do small jobs and my van doesn’t have the space to keep everything In so that’s why I want a smaller machine, any suggestions would be very appreciated

Cubs nice and small and very light and easy to get up stairs ect also has a decent spec. Being pretty much box shaped handy if if u have limited van room.

Airflex Mini or Alltec Express good quality machines and fully CE certified.

Alltec Express is a great machine and I would expect the Airflex Mini to be equally as good.

This probably wont matter to the OP who only does the occasional carpet  ....

But if i was getting a airflex mini  , i would get a single 6.6 inside  , and get them to fit a hose connector for the exhaust outlet .
Then buy the airflex booster pod and connect it to that .
So you would have very light single vac machine for doing spots or whatever u do with a single vac .  And then attach the booster for full twin 6.6 in series performance .
I think i would select the 300psi pump option also ,( or a 500 if they will fit it )  the 220psi aquatec is a great pump , but lacks a bit of flow compared to a big pump . Some chap on tmf is using two of them in parallel , that probably works well , i may try that on my own express .

Hello John

Not been on Clean it up for a long time now. Just viewed this post,  i have an Alltec Express with a  single 1800 watt Electro  motor with a 2" barb with 25/50ft 2" vac hose and was looking at buying the 6.6 vac booster to go on the exhaust. My main work with this machine is static caravan carpets/upholstery  and i was going to leave it in the van and just bring in the hose & wand in.
Still got the Enforcer which is used for bigger jobs.

hey , go for it  .  You probably have a flexy hose on the exhaust of your motor going to a small silencer box ?     so just pull out the silencer box and get some plumbing parts to attach a connector of sorts to the body of the machine at the back , if you can find anything suitable , il find a link on ebay .

Yes i do have a flexi in to silencer box, i had a very old express which had an exhaust port out the back...This new  machine is only a year old now which i had custom built by Chris (Alltec) for caravan work and was thinking about the t/m way for the start of the new season next year, plus the 6.6 vac booster is at a good price at the moment.
