This is peeing me off a bit now! I’ve got a 4040 stainless steel ro and the membrane has lasted quite a while now (about 6 year) I’ve changed the membrane and fitted everything back up, when I turn the water on to fill it lasts about 2 mins and then one end cap on one side keeps popping off.

I’ve tapped it in with hammer and some wood, I thought it would be in properly. Is there a certain technique to it

First time I did it took two days but it’s easy now. Make sure the rubber seal is sat properly mind. If the white ring goes infully and the seal is in correctly then it’s in. Got a photo?

Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?
Right lads first of all thanks a lot for all your help. I feel a little silly now but it was a stainless steel housing with some clips that go over the end cap and housing shaft. I was just putting it over the housing and not onto both. Thanks again! Sure it won’t be the last time you guys hear from me lol
