What’s the crack with these . Bought some s couple of weeks back, put em on all our brushes . Went to change 2 brush heads today , thinking it took s matter of seconds , stuck tight . Ended up having to unscrew  the brushes off . Do you need to service em somehow . Or are they just poope .

Mine are very hit or miss. I thought Gardiners had sorted this. I've got loads of males & female quick loc & am constantly trying to find the perfect fitting ones.

I remember emailing Alex about it ages ago. It's something to do with the tolerances in the manufacturing process or something. Tried various lubes such as wd40 or vaseline. Even tried sanding them. Gardiners will take them back but it's a right hassle especially when you got a lot of poles. We've built up quite a collection of female quick locs from all the brushes we've ordered. One of them is eventually a decent fit.

How are you unscrewing a quick loc anyway? Do you have an adapter or something? The whole idea is to press the button and it's supposed to pull out quick.

What i mean is . Leave it all connected . Take the 2 screws out of the socket and screw the new brush on . So you don’t have any sockets on your spare brushes .

Hate quick locs

I simply have a quick release connector in the pole hose - unclamp the whole head gooseneck and all disconnect hose slot in new desired head/brush/equipment - takes about 40 seconds

i use the dry PTFE spray on tight quick locs.....if your still having trouble if you stand on the brush and yank your pole(once you ve pressed the button and managed to move it slightly so it wont spring back)itll come off...

over the years ive found 3 or 4 quick locs that are ok.the rest i dont use.....and when i start using a new brush i just screw one of the good ones on from an old brush.....

These should be fairly easy to remove in standard use.

However occasionally a male gooseneck part can be on the edge of tolerance & after a few weeks use it can absorb moisture (nylon does absorb moisture once in use) & this can cause it to stick.

If this happens then some clients give it a quick sand or others find a spray of ptfe lubricant stops this.
