Sealing Limestone
« on: August 06, 2018, 09:00:48 pm »
Anyone know the answer to this? A client wants to seal the top of their riven limestone tiles after laying but before grouting in order to minimise grout hazing, would this cause problems? Also, is there a sealer that will make it easier to remove grout haze?  If it might work, what sealer would you recommend?  Thanks David

Pre Sealing prior to grout stone is total normal.  It also helps in clean up as you are cleaning the haze of sealer not stone.  They just have to decide if they want an enhancing or plain Sealer.  A lot depends on what colour the stone is

Thanks.  Will stoat soap protect a rough lime surface? David.

Stone Soap will help after a good quality premium impregnating sealer like Miracle 511 Seal & Enhance or Miracle 511 Porous Plus
