I was in the market for a new Electric reel some months back, I eventually ended up driving to Pure Freedom where I was met by Paul the engineer who actually designed and made the Reel. I had it fitted whilst I was there, which i might add was a very professional job. I got speaking to Paul about my through the floor rollers. These are the ones you buy from many of the online WFP websites, I was explaining to him that they could be a lot better designed. Anyone who uses them will agree with me. He took the dimensions of my rollers and last week I took delivery of my new custom made set by Paul. These aren't cheap but made out of stainless steel and the rollers are on bearings they are brilliant. I suppose what im trying to say is that if you have any special requirements, I can fully recommend Pure Freedom. When I was there I saw one of their water heaters which looked very well built and looked very compact.
They are engineers and fabricators. When I had my Expert fitted they had to do a fair bit of welding to get the pole rack in.

What's it like now ? Is there still more resistance than a manual reel when pulling hose out?

its great now adam...its like night and day compared to the original one.it must of been dropped or something as its brilliant now....

yes there is a bit of resistance(and you can hear the motor whirring when pulling the hose out)but its fine.....feels like a good sturdy bit of kit ...it reels in super fast too....
