I’m upto 255ppm now and with no idea if it’s going to come down anytime soon I’ll have to get an RO.

Looking for a full RO + prefilter setup that I can install into my garage and I’ll be leaving my DI resin on the van.

Where’s best to buy the full set up? I’m away for a couple weeks so I’ll want to get it set up straight away when I’m back, not wanting to have to build it all myself and waste a day or two doing that.
Purefreedom do a set up one.

Thanks Steve, that looks like just what I’m after, just need to work out whether I’ll need a Booster or not.
I wish I'd got one of those tbh. Nice and tidy.

My water is now at 268, was previously 070. Will have to order my RO unit now. Anyone else’s shot up or just mine?

Cheers Daz, it’s a massive pain in the ass.

Having to clear out a large section of my garage to fit in a pre built pure freedom RO HF5 system with prefilters, DI and built in inline TDS metre.

A touch over  £900, I know I could have saved a lot of cost by doing this myself but I’ve just returned from 3 weeks in Greece and need to get back up and running ASAP.

The only benefit here will be that I will recoup the cost in not having to buy resin within around 24 months.

Mines gone up in last couple of months.

Has been around 150 for years.

This summer it's shot up to about 280

Hopefully it will come back down a some point.

Definitely noticeable on resin and filters this summer

Did you not go for a pumped system?

No, went for the non pumped HF5. Can always add a pump easily afterwards if need be but my water pressure is v good as is.

Even in a softish water area, I don’t think you could purify 12,000 litres of water using only DI for less than £37, therefore the cost of using RO is less than DI.

Are your filters and membranes free then? Not to mention booster pumps and membrane housings.

All set up with my RO now.

I ordered the unit from Pure Freedom on Friday and it got delivered this morning. Fantastic service from Andrew!

Tap TDS of 260,  TDS after RO is 12 then polished to 0. I also have a DI before my tank on the van so I’d expect  a bag of resin will last 12 months or more now. Every cloud.....

I havnt measured  the production rate but it’s plenty fast enough to not need a booster pump.

good stuff danny....how long does it take to purify your water with an RO?(450L).....

also when your tap tds finally drops back down to 070 you wont need resin to polish it off.....just the RO water will do.....

I’m guessing here because I had a fair bit left after today’s work but......

It’s just filled roughly 250 litres in around 90 minutes.  Estimate it will take around 2.5 hours to fill my 450l tank. I can live with that.

12 seems high. Mine is 280 in and 4 out. I reckon you need a pump. Sorry.

I thought a reduction of 95% of the TDS was fairly standard? Correct me if I’m wrong.

98 or 99  is standard just depends on your membrane
