I attended the last event that Howard Partridge &Tom Ziglar did in the UK, it was interesting to listen to a couple of world leaders in business motivation. I won the  competition  to win every dvd & cd that the Ziglar corporation produced.... it was a pile about 3ft high about 50 items.

The price asked for this event is quite interesting, you could say anyone willing to pay nearly £700 for 2 days will put what they learn into action because they have invested so much in it, or even that anyone who is willing to pay such an amount is already the type of person who will succeed even without spending the money.

I am probably coming over as the eternal sceptic but over a long period of time I have seen 100’s of them  come and go!  I have attended several of them ranging from free of charge to over a $1000 USD and they are virtually all the same I am afraid.
 I have watched companies here in the UK try to emulate their methods,  jargon and techniques.  The end result is they are now in the main all gone and the only winners are the original speakers.  In fact in the last 6 or 7 years there have been at least 50 people off this forum to my knowledge who handed over nearly £500 each to a company who were trying to emulate US teaching methodology.  There is in my opinion no requirement to charge.  It is straightforward common sense and we automatically add it on and teach it free of charge as an integral part of our courses minus the Bullpoop I hope

Howard has is own $4,000,000 carpet cleaning company and he's hardly ever there. The systems he teaches are what he uses himself.

I have had Howard as a business mentor/coach for several years now and I personally enjoy working with him.

I will be attending Ziglar Inc for a week long course at over $10,000 - I love investing in myself in order to have a better life through automating my business.

I’ve attended a lot of these course and to be truthful I think most of the people i’ve met on them would succeed without going, but the people who would benefit most from them are never there.

I would never knock anyone attending or lecturing at these events, there are many paths to success if someone want to go down the route of mentoring or following a proven path then good for them

Mike - Can you tell me what type of business you run and is that the business you always dreamed of running? Are you truly where you want to be in business?

Most of the people who I meet at these events are very like minded individuals who already run very successful organisations and they enjoy being surrounded by positive thinking peers who help them grow. 

Now I get it that some people don't implement what they have learned during their time at an event, you need to put effort in.

Hence the reason i asked you the question - are you truly where you want to be in business?
If yes, well done !!!

I still have a lot to learn, and love learning more as I grow in my business - I am amazed to find out what I didn't know just a few years ago - Imagine where I could be now if ONLY  I learned sooner when I was younger, perhaps even at School or in my early business attempts.

Personally I want a business which sets me FREE to do what I want, and when i want to do it. I believe I am halfway there (hence the reason i only spend 16 weeks a year on holiday at the moment) Hopefully by mixing with people who have done and are doing this - owning TURNKEY businesses - I will succeed sooner rather than later/never

I am not knocking you or your efforts to expand, in fact I admire your enthusiasm, but hopefully your mentors will have taught you that as you expand you need to ensure every layer is solid before moving on to the next floor / level.  Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity.

I only started this particular business a relatively short time ago, initially just tiling and then moving on to improve by adding full bathroom fitting, then correct sealing methods and cleaning.   I remember then other sceptics laughing when I started using Aqua Mix Products from the USA saying they were far too expensive.  Then laughing again when I added external pressure washing by bringing in Falch  Pressure Washers from Germany.  Then again when I started buying and using KLINDEX equipment from Italy to clean and restore floors.   All of this had one thing in common, I bought the best and went to the best in the World for training, all the time investing in myself and my business.  We are now  with a 400 M2 showroom the largest KLINDEX  dealers in Europe.  However, I had a big advantage which was experience in owning other businesses all of which I had employed the same philosophy to.  I am sure you will do well and I wish you all the very best, just remember to look after everyone you meet on the elevator to success.  I would like to pop along if I can fit it in to look at the possibility of adding softwashing to our portfolio and of course if I am welcome.
