Do you think they have been damaged ? Pressure to high ? Or moving over the surface too quick and not actually cleaning properly ?

I’d examine closely before doing any more work and maybe use 15 degree on a couple first - if the surface is damaged then talk to Kev Martin

easy done !

Kev Martin is a member on here with excellent experience in cleaning/repairing tiled/stone/hard flooring you can find his posts on most threads in this section and i think he sponsors the hard flooring section - anyway hopefully you won't need him !

i doubt soft washing is an option ( but without seeing the job its hard to give a fair point of view ) just take your time when you go back

Sounds like they may have been sealed and you have removed some of it but not all , sometimes it’s difficult to see that it’s been sealed we had exactly the same situation a few years ago , ended up striping all the old sealer off right pain !!! I always look very carefully now when quoting

It's Black Limestone and you have Knackered it.
You need a brush and grinding paste.
Then seal it.
