like i said on the fb page

yes.

theres a guy selling similar ones on ebay...

why, because some people need spoon feeding everything including building a simple trolley

believe it or not there are guys out there with zero D.I.Y skills ( not starting than manliness thing again)

Just get on with it mate, you will sell them if they are decent. my only worry is whats your warranty and guarantee on them ? given that most of the parts will be cheap rubbish from china, what if they set on fire and burn someones house down ?

if you are selling an item like this made by yourself and for profit im sure you will be subject to certain safety laws etc.

If you buy one then it's not D.I.Y, is it?

So you just get a pump box and tank for £150? No hose reel or sack truck?

just buy a gardiners V3 backpack and sling it on a little fold away trolley with a bungee cord.22L capacity and the battery lasts at least 6 hours in between charges.the pump is adequate too for good flow at brush end.....job done....
price higher/work harder!

I got mixed reviews on a Facebook page, so thought ild see the opinion on a more national basis like this forum.
On ebay some are selling for 250 as a complete trolley, so I thought initially 150 for pump box and water container was good as it gave the user the choice to mount it on whatever.
But since getting this in motion I have decided to go the full hog, so trolley and a mounted 10m retractable hose as well. So all the buyer needs to do is fill with water and connect a hose and away they go to work.  Looking more stylish than a Gardiner back pack on a flimsy trolley.

So the specs would be:
10m 6mm retractable blue hose.
100 psi 4lpm pump
12v 10 amp hour battery which will last the working
                 day.
a digital volt meter reading to see the battery voltage.
Analogue flow controller with digital display.
On/off switch
Slim water storage container holding 23ltrs of water, colour matching the hose n reel. Can be removed from the trolley for easy storage.
Currently price to be decided

Don't take this the wrong way but don't do it.
Stick to what you do best, cleaning windows.

So people are happy to spend 5k on heating water in a tank but not wanting to spend money on a suitable trolley for mobile wfp work and would rather stick a bright yellow back pack on a flimsy trolley.
Good job there's people willing to buy worn 2nd hand wfp poles on ebay for more than the price of a new one from Gardiner 😂😂

So this is one currently for sale on ebay (no, not mine).
This is for £275 and has a remote on/off.
Mine won't have the remote on off (as I said in the vid, the reported range is incorrect and picks up interference, or at least my £20 one does). But it comes with a retractable 10m 6mm hose n connections and a water container. Ooooooh 😂

While your trolley is nice and looks pretty robust I’d seriously think about whether it’s worth it as a biz - stock, time spent building it, postage, returns and breakdowns it’s a lot of hassle

I built some a few years back that were 120 ltrs for a big hospital job with no access to many parts - they work really well and nearly started making more to sell but at the end of the day you can make far more cleaning windows etc than building these things

And yes people will be sold the dream and spend 5k on a heated system yet won’t spend a couple of quid on decent jubilee clips - go figure !

i personally dont use a backpack for any work.....mine just gets used for chemical application these days but i have worked fine with this set up when my van engine seized last year and i was working from my car....

most window cleaners only use a trolley/backpack for the odd job and most work can be cleaned with less faff with a van mount.....

as for selling your trolleys im sure someone will buy one off you.i disagree that yours looks stylish though! ;D

...and buy the way i have decent clips now(nothing to do with not spending money on them) ;D

A slight positive having a sleeping disorder is, I have more available time than most. I'm going to build the one to begin with and see how it goes.   If it's not sellable then I have a spare trolley😁

When I first started making these about 5 years ago and put the video  on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVdG5OY2u9s loads of people asked me if I could make them for them but for how long it took I thought it much better to stick to my day job since then loads like yourself have copied the idea and saved loads of money so that is great but I personal don't think you could make much of a living out of doing it

True, the concept of a pump box fitted to a trolley is such a simple step down from what we all have in the van. But! We get paid to clean windows simply because people can't be bothered to do so themselves or they ain't got the time. In fact we rely on it for our job!
Unfortunately not all are DIY minded and some just can't be bothered to spend time making a trolley up.
This isn't something I'm giving up my work/business for but simply another side line and since I'm watching naff tv/films or doing paper work till the likes of 5am most nights, I thought I could use this time productively.

You've gotta ask yourself who is going to use it and how - meaning solely instead of a van mount  or for awkward jobs and alternative to back pack. Given that it only holds a couple of liters more than a backpack I'd have said the latter. Given the bulk and size of it compared to a back pack I cant see it having any advantage. Back packs take up very little space in the van and if you need a trolley for it they are also very compact and cheap. Bright yellow and less stylish ? come on ..... who's going to care about that ? Sorry if that sounds negative but don't waste money or time on this.

i used to make them and sell them about 4 years ago after seeing marks posts, now everyones knocking them out and that guy on ebay is making a nice bit of profit from them.
i started selling controllers on theyre own, pretty much the same as da components or the ones sold on ebay.
theyre knocking them out for £30-£50 each and you can build one for less than a tenner so plenty of money to be made there for a few minutes work building one.
i eventually stopped selling them as like posts further up theres too many people out there who are not diy efficient or capable of connecting 4 wires up without breaking the controllers plus as i built my round up i didnt have the time to build a load anymore.
i believe if your going to do it properly too you need to have them passed on electrical grounds etc so you can be insured to sell them in case they burn a house down so look into this too pal
definately money to be made though and if you dont have much of a round or loads of time spare why not make a few quid more!
