[S.W. Window Cleaning]

I recently quoted for cleaning gutters and facias with a customer.  I called a week later to see if he wanted them done but he said somebody done them far cheaper with a pressure washer.  I thought this would have made a terrible mess but when i saw it it really looked great. Has anybody else done this?

Never done it myself but I'd imagine you could do damage to tiles or gutters/fascia if not being careful.

It won’t look good for long as there will be algy spores left behind that will grow quickly and it will go green again wfp is the best method we have experienced the same thing with a few potential customers  they generaly don’t have them pressure washed a second time

I have, plenty of times, it’s much quicker and easier than slaving away with the wfp.

I only use the PW where there Isn’t slotted soffits though, and I usually spray them with a degreaser or bleach first so it loosens the algae meaning low pressure cleans them up.

It’s much quicker and easier, but not always a good idea, depends on the type of gutters and facias...

I've used a detergent tablet or two with a mixing valve using tucker pole with twin hose then petrol power washed them off in the past. Use to do 3 storey with it. Only advice if using pressure washer on a high pole is don't start near any glass  initially because of the whip when pressure kicks in. on starting pressure washer.

how long does it take to clean the  outside f/s/gs  on a 3 bed semi (plus the windows) with a pressure washer?i can clean these jobs in under 60 mins with  HOT WFP  including the windows.........

On normal residential houses, its too much faff using a pressure washer.    On larger houses or commercial I can see it has its place.

I don’t bother with 3 bed semis Daz, only big houses 

As i said, it depends on the facias and gutters, of course, small houses are easy to do with wfp and bit of ubik. Larger houses (£200-£300 facia Jobbies) I find it twice as quick and easy to spray em with bleach then pressure wash off.

Me, I’ve got to the stage where I really can’t be bothered with small houses, I don’t need them, so quote a premium, rarely get them, but if I do it’s worth it. Rather just clean windows than faff with £50 gutter jobs

Big houses, love it. Spend 4-6 hours and bring in over £250 - granted, that’s only once a month on average.

Deegee that’s what I said, I quote a premium and rarely do people want to part with that much, suits me as I hate doing them, especially with the wfp
