Electric reels
« on: April 27, 2018, 10:13:50 am »
Hi. I'm trying to fit 2 electric reels in my van , fiat doblo maxi, 1 each near the wheel arches.  Also I'm fitting rollers under the van and trough the floor , similar to the ones from waterworks . The problem I have on the right hand side under the van the exhaust It's in the way so not sure how to go round . One solution is to fit one next to each other but not totally convinces about it . I guess would be the same for vauxhall combos.  I have the power hd reels.
I would appreciate your feedback .
Thank you

Its a small van for doing that. Loads of space in a Transit.

id get rid of the spare wheel, then they can come out in the middle.

I guess it is but I'm quite all organized and.i like smaller vans . Plus there is quite a lot of space on the sides

That's probably the best viable solution without getting it over complicated.  Although I did try to remove the spare wheel but I never used it and It's stuck so I'll have to take it to 're garage as don't want to push too hard and break something . Thanks for your reply

Before you got those reels I’d sort that bald tyre out 😂

Yeah, I'd ditch the spare wheel as well if I wanted to go down the under floor roller route 👍🏼

Forgot to say the carpet cleaning machine is not used very often . It's only in the van at the moment so I can fit the trolley and leave enough space for it .

What about taking the plastic box off the left arch and using the top of the arch to build a shelf to mount the second reel above the first , set the top one closer to the rear boors to give it space to clear the bottom reel ?
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

I have used those rollers through my van floor. My exhaust was in the way so i had a garage to heat it up and move it. Might be an option.
